We have a position for an Applications Developer to work on a small team of IT professionals performing both new development and maintenance / enhancements to our custom applications and are looking for a qualified candidate with the following skills/experience:

  • Must have experience in PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and web development.
  • Knowledge of (but not required) RPG, CL, DDL, DDS, all areas of IBM i (AS/400) Power, Red Hat Linux.
  • Demonstrate development, enhancement and maintenance programming skills.
  • Project management and problem solving.
  • Full cycle development practice, including planning, testing, debugging, and training.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and accounting concepts helpful.
  • Knowledge in the use of business tools, such as Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
  • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and technological skills.
  • Ability to interact with a cross-functional diverse team throughout the organization.
  • Be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously while staying on task.

College or technical degree or equivalent work experience. Must have high school diploma or GED.

The manufacturing engineer will perform the following duties:

  • Plans, designs, and completes equipment projects for use in manufacturing facilities.
  • Develop new manufacturing equipment to meet production requirements including design, conferring with vendors, ordering materials, overseeing assembly, developing control programs, startup and training of production personnel.
  • Development of new manufacturing processes including research and application of existing technologies and experimenting with new technologies and processes.
  • Provide documentation for new and existing designs, including mechanical and electrical drawings, machine maintenance manuals, and operator manuals.
  • Upgrade of existing manufacturing equipment including mechanical upgrade and controls upgrade (usually involving computer adaptation and customized software).
  • Complete facilities upgrade projects including lighting, water circulation systems, and utilities.
  • Provide reports when assigned for proposed projects, projected costs, project status, etc.
  • Assist maintenance departments in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment problems including mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer-related problems. Use mechanical and electrical schematics and test equipment such as volt meter, current meter, and oscilloscope to aid in determining equipment problems.
  • Travel occasionally to evaluate and/or approve vendor supplied equipment or to visit other Greenleaf plants to resolve manufacturing equipment problems. Occasional travel may also be required to training seminars and trade shows.

We are searching for experienced industry professionals to sell our products directs. At this time, we have an immediate need for Sales and Service Engineers to cover territory in the following locations:

  • Northern Illinois
  • New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania

Metal cutting experience is a must! Greenleaf will provide sales and technical application training. The Sales Engineers will perform the following duties:

  • Assist in the implementation of the overall sales strategy for the region.
  • Advise and assist representatives and distributors concerning application and sales techniques of cutting tool products.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings and shows to promote products.
  • Prepare monthly activity reports outlining the activities in both current and potential customers.
  • Provide input to and assist Research and Development to facilitate the development and testing of new products.

Certificates / Licenses / Registrations

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Willing to travel.

Education and / or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Five years related experience in sales.
  • Metal cutting experience.
  • Applied computer knowledge and blueprint reading required.

The Tool Design Engineer will perform the following duties:

  • Create detailed drawings and plans.
  • In an accurate and timely manner create assembly and detailed drawings for quotation, manufacture and/or reference of cutting tools, fixtures, special equipment, research and development, and building/grounds layouts.
  • Utilize knowledge of various machines, tolerance, engineering practices, mathematics, materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
  • Confer with customers, representatives, and other internal Greenleaf personnel as necessary to complete drawings or projects.
  • Record and prepare paperwork necessary to conform with established engineering practices.
  • Check and verify drawings created by customers and/or other Greenleaf personnel.
  • The Tool Design Engineer may also be given any special projects or administrative duties assigned by the Manager of Engineering.
  • On-site review of customer tooling projects.
